The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has said that  the new political coalition against President Bola Tinubu as an “amalgam of Tinubu haters”.

Onanuga said this in an X post on Thursday night.

Recall that earlier on Thursday, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar  disclosed the formation of a coalition of opposition politicians working to stop Tinubu in 2027.

He made this known the at a press conference at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja ahead of the National Assembly’s vote on the state of emergency in Rivers State.

Responding to a question on behalf of the opposition leaders, Atiku said, “Yes, this is the birth of the coalition of opposition ahead of 2027.”

However, Onanuga, in a post titled, “My message to the coalition of Tinubu haters”, said the coalition is for self-interest.

He said, “President Tinubu is focused on governance to build a prosperous country. He is on the way to achieving this.

“Two months to his midterm, he has many solid achievements to showcase. Intractable problems are being tackled headlong.

“He cannot be distracted by the so-called coalition of politicians.

“They are not politicians after the Public Good. It’s all about their self-interest. They are disgruntled. They are a frustrated lot. The leaders are sore losers.

“The coalition is an amalgam of Tinubu haters. Their agenda is to stop Tinubu.”
