Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a major political shift in the state.
Announcing his decision in a statewide broadcast, Fintiri disclosed that he moved to the APC along with members of his cabinet and other PDP stakeholders across Adamawa.
The governor said the defection was guided by the need to advance the state’s development agenda, adding that aligning with the party at the centre would enhance opportunities for growth and greater federal collaboration.
