His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, as according to him, his policies will produce results in the long run.
The monarch noted that although things are hard at the moment, the hardship will not persist for much longer.
"There's no doubt that things are hard, but I enjoin us all to be patient with the present government led by President Bola Tinubu. The policies we know that at the long run will be better for our country. But in the short run, it will be harsh. We know that," he said.
Oba Ogunwusi who stated this while unveiling second phase of Ojaja Moore Mall located along Gbongan /Ibadan road, in Osogbo on Sunday. advocated for more community engagement, private sector driven initiatives as the panacea to nation building.
He argued that the nation can only thrive economically through community and governments engagements, which do not leave out the traditional rulers.
According to him, What is crucial in the country is for all hands to be on deck, adding that, "we should not leave government alone with everything, but rather contribute our quotas as an individual to boost our economy."
Speaking on why he opened the second Ojaja Moore mall in Osogbo, Oba Ogunwusi noted that, "at a critical stage like this in our country, it's expedient for us all to support the youths and that is the reason behind the expansion of ojaja Moore.
"Right now in the capital city of Osogbo, we are having two branches, this is the second. The first was commissioned about two years ago by the governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
"And what we are doing majorly is to drive home made goods; those that are manufactured in Nigeria and few foreign ones.
"We are giving our youths a very good platform to display their products. So if we continue to do this, a whole lot of youths will come of the stress and have gainful employment.
"I am fully dedicated to things that will better a lot of Nigeria youths and that is why am doing this kind of venture.
"The platform is to help the youths. The can manufacture anything and walk in here to display it.
"I considered this as a platform for the youth to display their manufacturing prowess; to display what they can do on basis structures and basic utilization, it is very important for us to know that if such platform exists, we don't need to leave foreign people to do this for us, we need to continue to help ourselves," he added.
