CBEX Collapse: Investors in Tears as Angry Mob Ransacks Ibadan Office

Tears and chaos erupted on Monday after CBEX, a digital investment platform, crashed and left thousands of Nigerian investors stranded with zero account balances.

The platform, which had promised users a 100% return on dollar-based investments within a month, suddenly became inaccessible, sparking panic and outrage across social media.

Several users who had invested millions of naira shared emotional videos online, with many weeping and expressing deep regret over their involvement with the platform.

According to reports, the trouble began when users noticed they could no longer withdraw funds. Soon after, they discovered that their accounts had been emptied without warning.

In a dramatic turn of events, an angry mob stormed the CBEX office in the Oke Ado area of Ibadan, Oyo State, following news of the platform's collapse.

Eyewitnesses said the enraged crowd forcefully entered the premises and looted furniture and equipment, including chairs, tables, and other office items.

The incident is believed to have been fueled by frustration and heartbreak among victims who were left with nothing after the platform’s failure.

As of now, no official statement has been released by law enforcement agencies, and it remains unclear if any arrests have been made.
