Air Peace has said a technical fault involving baggage screening equipment at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, has disrupted its flight operations.
The airline disclosed that the malfunction of the baggage screening machine had affected the screening and loading of checked luggage, resulting in delays to several outbound flights from Abuja.
It explained that the operational setback had also impacted aircraft rotations across its network, with some flights unable to depart as scheduled due to the delay in baggage handling.
Air Peace said it was collaborating with FAAN and other relevant authorities to rectify the problem and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
The airline stressed that while efforts were being made to minimise the disruption, all baggage handling procedures would continue to comply with safety and security requirements.
It expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and thanked them for their patience and understanding during the disruption.
Air Peace also assured customers that it remained committed to maintaining the highest safety standards and promised to provide further information as the situation progresses.
