The Nigerian naira depreciated to 1,025/$ at parallel market on Tuesday, amid persistent scarcity of dollars.
The Nigerian currency has maintained a downward trend since the Central Bank of Nigeria allowed a free float of the national currency against the dollar and other global currencies in June.
A number of Bureau de Change operators interviewed on Tuesday, said the naira exchanged for the dollar at the parallel market between 1,005/$ and 1,025/$.
Meanwhile, Aboki Forex, an online platform which lists real time exchange rate, quoted the naira at N1010 to the dollar on Wednesday morning.
