Cadbury Nigeria Plc has posted a revenue of N126.69 billion in the first nine months of 2026, representing a six per cent increase over the N119.25 billion generated in the corresponding period last year.

The company's unaudited financial results for the period ended September 30, 2026, also showed significant improvement in gross profit, which climbed by 32 per cent to N36.50 billion from N27.75 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.

Profit after tax increased by five per cent to N10.14 billion, compared with N9.68 billion in the previous year, while profit before tax rose from N13.82 billion to N14.48 billion.

The company also strengthened its financial position, with total equity growing by 75.6 per cent to N23.56 billion from N13.42 billion.

Basic earnings per share equally improved by five per cent, rising to 445 kobo from 424 kobo.

The Managing Director of Cadbury Nigeria, Ayman Fahmy Gaafar, attributed the performance to the company's efforts to sustain growth and strengthen its operations despite prevailing economic challenges.

He said the company would continue to improve operational efficiency, manage costs and introduce innovative products to respond to the evolving needs of Nigerian consumers.

“We will continue to build on our operational capabilities and strengthen cost management measures to enable us to achieve our business objectives and deliver more value for our stakeholders. We are also continuously innovating to meet the needs of the Nigerian consumer,” Gaafar said.

Beyond its financial performance, Cadbury Nigeria also secured three awards at the 2026 Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) HR OSCARS, emerging as the overall winner.

The company was recognised in the categories of Talent Acquisition, Adoption of Technology, and Employee Engagement and Internal Communication, recording a perfect score of 100 per cent in the last category.

The awards were presented as part of CIPM's annual International Conference and Exhibition in Abuja, which brings together human resource professionals and industry stakeholders.

The HR OSCARS recognise organisations with outstanding human resource management practices, providing external assessment of their efforts in talent development, workplace innovation and employee engagement.

The latest recognition, according to the company, underscores its commitment to building a workplace culture that supports business performance and improves employee experience.

Meanwhile, the company's board underwent changes in August following the appointment of Dr Doyin Salami as Chairman, succeeding Adedotun Sulaiman, who resigned from the position.

The board also appointed Uwa Osa-Oboh as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Salami previously served as Chief Economic Adviser to former President Muhammadu Buhari and Chairman of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council. He has also held leadership positions on the boards of several companies.

Osa-Oboh is the Head of Corporate Development at Capital Alliance Nigeria, a member of the African Capital Alliance Group.

Cadbury Nigeria is a subsidiary of global snacking company Mondelēz International, which holds a 79.39 per cent stake in the Nigerian company, while the remaining 20.61 per cent is owned by indigenous individual and institutional investors.

Its major brands include Bournvita, Hot Chocolate 3 in 1, TomTom, Buttermint and Clorets.
