Kunle Remi, wife Tiwi welcome child after challenging medical journey

Kunle Remi, a Nollywood actor and his wife, Boluwatiwi Oye, have announced the arrival of their first child, a baby girl named Eemi Oluwa.

The couple revealed that their daughter, nicknamed “Wonder,” was born prematurely at 26 weeks and spent 80 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Kunle shared the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude for their journey and marveling at God’s faithfulness. “I still don’t even understand how God works, but He shows up and shows off! This joy we have! Just after Happy New Year, WONDER was born at 26 weeks,” he wrote.

The actor also disclosed that an unexpected medical discovery during the pregnancy led to Tiwi being placed on complete bed rest. Despite their demanding schedules and frequent travel, they remained strong in faith. “Our story is living proof that God is God—unfailing, unwavering, and faithful till the very end,” Kunle stated.

He further reflected on the difficult weeks following their daughter's birth, saying, “From waiting, countless NICU visits, and clinging to God for 11 weeks and 3 days... We’ve been blessed with a WONDER.”

The couple chose the name "Eemi Oluwa," which means "the breath of God," as a testament to their deep appreciation for their daughter’s life.
