The Saudi Arabian authorities have granted approval for the burial of renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, in the holy city of Madina.

The late industrialist, who passed away on Saturday in a hospital in Abu Dhabi at the age of 94, will be laid to rest in Madina, in accordance with his final wishes to be buried beside his late wife, Rabi’a Dantata, who died in 2023.

Alhaji Mustapha Abdullahi Junaidu, the Private Principal Secretary to the late Dantata, confirmed the development in a Facebook post on Sunday.

“Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah, Alhamdulillah. I have received approval to take Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Madina. He will be buried tomorrow morning by the grace of Allah,” the post read.

Following his death, a special Islamic funeral prayer, Salatul Ga’ib, was held on Saturday in Kano in honour of the late business magnate. The prayer session was attended by a large crowd of mourners, including prominent dignitaries such as the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin.
