The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released more results from the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), bringing the total number of processed scripts to 1,897,692.

In a statement issued by the Board, results of candidates who sat for the examination on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18, have been made available, with 1,264,940 candidates affected in the latest batch.

JAMB advised candidates to check their results by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019, using the same SIM card used during registration.

The Board noted that it had earlier released 632,752 results from candidates who wrote the examination on Thursday, April 16, indicating steady progress in the marking and release process.

Meanwhile, independent monitors overseeing the exercise across states have commended the Board’s conduct of the examination, describing it as efficient and largely hitch-free.

In Lagos State, Chief External Examiner, Dosumu Simeon, said Computer-Based Test centres inspected demonstrated a high level of organisation and discipline.

Speaking after visits to selected centres, including one in Ojo, he observed that the facilities were orderly and located in conducive environments for candidates.

He further noted that there were no reports of system breakdowns, power failures, or examination malpractice during the monitoring exercise.

Similarly, the Chief External Examiner for Cross River State, Offiong Effanga Offiong, praised the seamless coordination of the examination process in the state.

Offiong, who also serves as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, said the exercise reflected strong institutional planning and professionalism by JAMB.

“From what we have seen, the examination has been well-coordinated, with candidates writing under conducive conditions,” he said.

He urged candidates to remain disciplined throughout the exercise and warned against any form of malpractice, stressing that success must be earned through diligence and integrity.

The ongoing monitoring, JAMB explained, is part of its quality assurance mechanism designed to ensure strict compliance with guidelines and sustain the credibility of the UTME across the country.
