Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State was plunged into terror on Monday evening as armed bandits kidnapped a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, 10 children, and several others.
The attack, which took place around 6pm on November 24, 2025, involved 20 to 30 gunmen who stormed the town, firing shots and driving a large herd of cattle. An elderly woman was reportedly hit by a stray bullet.
Local sources confirmed to Sahara Reporters that 11 people were abducted, including seven members of the same family. Among the victims are Sarah Sunday (pregnant), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother), Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat, Fatima Yusufu, and Haja Na Allah.
Eyewitnesses described chaos in the town, noting multiple bullet holes and spent AK-47 shells scattered across homes.
Isapa lies near Eruku, another community recently targeted, where terrorists attacked a Christ Apostolic Church meeting, killing three worshippers and abducting others, including the pastor.
Residents remain fearful as security forces intensify efforts to rescue the abducted victims and secure the area.
