Hoodlums have hijacked the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger and bad governance in Kano State, and resorted to loot shops and offices.
The protest began peacefully, but soon metamorphosed into chaotic scenes with hoodlums invading shops and offices to cart away goods.
Meanwhile, there have been skirmishes in Abuja and Lagos where police fired teargas at protesters.
A number of other states, including Plateau, Zamfara, and Osun have also witnessed protests, most which remain peaceful.
