A fresh video has surfaced in the ongoing dispute between Mrs. Tracy Ohiri and Minister of Works, David Umahi, with the businesswoman reiterating claims that the former Ebonyi State governor withheld payment for goods she supplied after she allegedly rejected his advances.

The video, shared on Thursday by activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, shows Ohiri making direct accusations against the minister and insisting she will not be intimidated.

“David Umahi, I’m not afraid of you, pay me my money. You can lie all you want, but you must pay me my money. I supplied goods directly to you. You woke me up 5am and I brought them to your house in Abakaliki. You know me very well. Just because you asked to date me and I said no, you turned it upside down. You will give me my money,” she said.

She also alleged that she was being harassed through law enforcement.

“They said you are honorable minister but there’s nothing honorable about you. You are using police to oppress me. You can never break me. In the cell where I slept last night, there are four men from Ebonyi State. They were brought all the way to Ebonyi state on the instruction of David Umahi. This is so painful.”

Ohiri claimed the original debt stood at N25.4 million but has now risen to over N304 million with accumulated interest.

The latest development follows a dramatic confrontation on Wednesday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. In a separate viral video from that incident, Ohiri was seen interrupting what was described as an interview session involving the minister, accusing him publicly of sexual harassment and non-payment for a contract.

The confrontation was amplified by public affairs commentator Ugo Egbujo, who detailed the woman’s allegations in a Facebook post. According to Egbujo, Ohiri alleged that Umahi refused to authorize payment for work she executed after she declined his alleged advances. He stated that the minister subsequently petitioned the police.

Egbujo further claimed that Ohiri was arrested and transported to Abuja, where she was detained. He said tensions escalated when she encountered the minister during what was meant to be an interview session, resulting in the heated exchange captured on video.

While the circumstances leading to the confrontation remain unclear, the video shows Ohiri visibly distressed as security operatives attempted to restore order.

Responding to the earlier viral video on Wednesday, Umahi, through a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, dismissed the confrontation as an orchestrated spectacle.

The minister’s office said the allegations have been in the public domain since last year and described them as inconsistent and contradictory. It maintained that the Nigeria Police Force acted within its constitutional mandate following a petition submitted by the minister’s lawyer.

“Contrary to the misleading narrative being pushed by Sowore, the Honourable Minister did not deploy the police to settle any personal score,” the statement read.

The media office further described the public confrontation as “performative activism aimed at gaining attention rather than seeking truth,” adding that the minister chose not to engage publicly but to allow due process to take its course.
