The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected traffic robber involved in the theft of human hair products worth N20 million from a moving truck on the CMS-Marina Bridge.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin disclosed the arrest in a statement on Thursday, revealing that the suspect was caught with a large sack containing the stolen items at the Marina car park.
According to Hundeyin, officers from the Ebute-Ero Division acted swiftly on intelligence and apprehended the suspect, who was injured after leaping from the bridge in a failed escape attempt.
“On April 25, 2025, a criminal gang stole a large sack filled with assorted human hair extensions, valued at approximately ₦20 million, from a moving truck without the driver’s knowledge as it passed through CMS-Marina Bridge,” the statement said.
The suspect, found in possession of the stolen goods, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and remains under police surveillance.
Hundeyin added that efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the robbery syndicate who are still at large.
