Regina Daniels reportedly reunites with husband, Ned Nwoko

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has reportedly returned to the residence of her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, months after the couple were said to have gone through a marital crisis.

The reported development was disclosed by Solomon Dalung, a lawyer and former Minister of Youth and Sports, in a post shared on his Facebook page.

Dalung, however, stressed that the reconciliation had not been officially confirmed by either Regina or Nwoko, describing the report as “apparently” true.

He said the last credible information available to him indicated that the couple were still dealing with marital and custody-related issues.

According to him, the reported return of Regina highlights the danger of outsiders drawing firm conclusions about other people’s marriages based on information circulating on social media.

Dalung said social media users had previously taken sides in the dispute, with some attacking Nwoko and others defending or criticising Regina based on posts, videos, screenshots and statements attributed to members of the family.

“Husband and wife are husband and wife. No matter how much we think we know from Instagram posts, videos, screenshots and family statements, there is a part of a marriage that outsiders simply cannot know,” he wrote.

The former minister noted that some people had effectively turned themselves into “lawyers, counsellors, prosecutors and judges” in the couple’s marital dispute.

He warned against becoming excessively invested in the private affairs of celebrities, arguing that couples often possess information about their relationships that members of the public do not have access to.

Dalung said people could offer advice when necessary and speak against abuse where there was credible evidence, but should avoid fighting what he described as battles that ultimately belonged to the couple.

“They have children together. They have a history together. They know things about their relationship that none of us on social media know,” he stated.

He added that if Regina had chosen to return to the marriage, her decision should be respected.

“If Regina has indeed chosen to return home, that is her decision. And if she has decided to give the marriage another chance, that decision belongs to her too,” Dalung said.

He therefore urged social media users to exercise restraint and avoid making definitive judgments about marital disputes involving public figures.

“Sometimes, the people we think we are defending don’t actually need us to fight their battles to the death,” he said.

Dalung concluded: “In matters of marriage, outsiders should know when to speak and, perhaps more importantly, when to shut up.”
