Three children declared missing in Imo

The families of three children have declared them  missing in Oru-Ahiara community, Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA, Imo state.

The missing children were identified as Ikechukwu Nnadozie, aged 10; Chioma Onuoha, aged 7; and Chibuike Okechukwu Onuoha, aged 5.

They were said to have gone missing on March 13, while stepping out to buy pencils at Afor Ogbe market.

A source in the community said their parents had taken them to the market.

“We wish to draw the attention of the general public on the missing of the following children since Wednesday 13th March 2024 at Afor Ogbe market,” the statement reads.

“These children belong to different parents all from Oru-Ahiara community in Ahiazu-Mbaise and their identities are this; Ikechukwu Nnadozie; age-10 years; address -Umuosi Oru Ahiara, Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA, Imo state; school-Divine Warriors Academy school Mpam Ekwerazu Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA Imo state; primary 4.

“Chioma Onuoha, address-Umuiwe Oru Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA Imo state; Age-7 years; school- Central school Oru Ahiara, Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA Imo state; primary 2.

“Chibuike Onuoha, age- 5 years, Address- Umuiwe Oru Ahiara, Ahiazu-Mbaise, LGA Imo state; school- Central school Oru Ahiara, Ahiazu-Mbaise, LGA Imo state.

“Please any person with useful information about the missing persons (children) should contact Ifeanyi Nwachukwu- 08036705372, Charles Ihejiere -07033707138 or any police station, Catholic or Anglican churches.”

Henry Okoye, the police spokesperson in the state, said the command was yet to be briefed on the development.
