Rapper Speed Darlington granted bail after a month in custody

Rapper Darlington Okoye, alias Speed Darlington, has been granted bail after over a month in police custody.

His lawyer, Stanley Alieke announced this cheering update  on Instagram, indicating that the court has granted him bail.

“Apki has been granted bail by the court,” he wrote without including much information.

Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested on November 27 while playing at a gig in Owerri, Imo State, for allegedly abusing Afrofusion musician Burna Boy.

Despite the challenges, Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju earlier disclosed that the singer would be arraigned within 48 hours or released on bail.

“Our FREP application for Speed Darlington a.k.a has been granted by the court.

“He is to be arraigned within 48 hours or released. Issues around injustice may take time but justice will always prevail,” he shared.
