Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has made a heart-wrenching appeal for support, revealing she is currently homeless, battling poor health, and still searching for her missing daughter.
The emotional revelation came during an appearance on the TalkToB show hosted by actress Abiola Adebayo. A clip from the interview, shared on Adebayo’s Instagram on Tuesday, shows the actress tearfully opening up about her struggles.
“I don’t have a home. I don’t have anything. One of my children has been missing for years,” she said, visibly distressed.
George said she has been living in a church for survival, depending on the kindness of church members, particularly the women leaders, to feed and support her.
“My first child, Adeola, has been missing for four years now. She just turned 41 on May 1, and there’s been no trace of her. It’s been a heavy burden,” she shared.
Despite her personal challenges, the actress continues to care for her grandchildren, even as her health deteriorates.
“I’ve been sick since January 2. I’ve done several tests, but now doctors say I need brain and heart scans that will cost N400,000. I don’t know where I’ll get that kind of money,” she said.
She described her nights as sleepless and painful, saying her condition has become unbearable. “Everything hurts. I can’t sleep. I’m in pain all the time. I’m just tired,” she said.
The actress, who has starred in numerous Yoruba films, said she had always lived a life of integrity and could not understand why she had been met with so much hardship.
“Please, I’m begging. Pray for me. Help me if you can. I’ve never wronged anyone. I just want peace,” she pleaded.
Her cry has drawn sympathy and concern from the entertainment community, with colleagues and fans flooding social media with messages of support and offers of help.
