Veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi has voiced her frustration over what she describes as the decline of meaningful communication in the digital age, particularly on social media platforms.
In a recent Instagram post, Anunobi lamented how many people miss valuable opportunities simply because they fail to communicate with clarity and purpose. She emphasized the importance of being direct and intentional when reaching out to others, especially in private messages.
“Why would you enter someone’s DM and just say ‘hi’? For crying out loud, do you think everyone has time to waste?” she questioned, expressing irritation with vague or purposeless messages that often go nowhere.
Anunobi pointed out that in today’s fast-paced world, ambiguous greetings like “hello beautiful” or “how are you?” without any clear direction are not only unproductive but disrespectful of people’s time.
She urged social media users to be more deliberate with their interactions, treating communication with the same seriousness they would a real-life opportunity. “If you have something to say, say it. State your purpose, be direct. Shoot your shot with sense,” she advised.
The actress underscored that effective communication is not just about etiquette but about maximizing potential and seizing opportunities. “Don’t you know what it means to grab an opportunity? Obviously, common sense is not common,” she concluded.
Anunobi’s remarks have resonated with many of her followers, sparking conversations about the need for more thoughtful and purposeful digital interactions.
