Galatasaray were trailing at home shortly after the break, but the former Crystal Palace man equalised eight minutes later, firing into the roof of the net after superbly slaloming through the Ankaragucu defence.
A Hayrullah Bilazer own goal 20 minutes from time then put the Istanbul side ahead and Galatasaray saw out the victory to move four points clear at the top of Turkish League. Up next is a trip to Old Trafford to face Man Utd in Champions League on Tuesday.
