Udinese Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye returns to eagles squad.

The camp of the Super Eagles for the  upcoming friendly games against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique respectively has been hit with uncertainty over the availability of two of the three invited goalkeepers, according to Brila FM.

Nigeria will use the game to fine tune their preparations for the start of the World Cup qualifiers, where they will take on Lesotho in Uyo before making the trip to Harare to face Zimbabwe in the race to be at the 2026 World Cup.

It begins with a game against Saudi Arabia on the 13th of October before a game against Mozambique three days later at the same venue in Portugal. 25 players including three goalkeepers were called up for the game.

However, we can exclusively reveal that the availability of two of the three is seriously in doubt with Israel based Adebayo Adeleye struggling to make the trip due to the war around his axis, which has made travelling out of the country very difficult and risky at this moment in time.

Leke Ojo, who is among the shot stoppers called up is still in Nigeria with other backroom and technical staff of the team as they are yet to be offered a visa to join the team at their camp. It leaves Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho as the only one in the camp for now.

The situation has made the coaches to hand a call up to Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. He only joined the Italian club on final day of the summer transfer window after a frustrating one year stay in England with Watford.
