The All Progressives Congress (APC) has temporarily closed its national secretariat, known as Buhari House, in Abuja, following the tragic killing of its Director of Administration, AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.
Adeniji, who was abducted several weeks ago, was confirmed dead last month. The party announced the closure in a memo titled “Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration”, released on Thursday.
According to the statement, the secretariat will remain shut until Monday, April 14, 2025. The party urged staff to observe the mourning period with sober reflection and prayers for the deceased’s family.
“The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National Secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday 14th April 2025,” the memo stated.
It added that a condolence register would be opened at the secretariat in honour of the late Adeniji.
