A 14-year-old schoolgirl and a coach driver have died in a bus crash in Merseyside, North-West England.
The incident happened on Friday.
Daily Mail reports that the school bus was carrying 54 pupils from West Kirby grammar school and Calday Grange grammar school in Merseyside when the bus crashed with a car and flipped onto its side.
Witnesses also claimed that the children were escaping out of the back window after the crash.
The children were taken to an emergency centre where they were medically assessed, 39 have been discharged but the remainder have been taken to hospital for further treatment.
The police further disclosed in a press conference that two of the children were seriously injured and were taken immediately from the scene to Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
The area manager of Merseyside Fire and Rescue service, Mark Thomas, also mentioned that firefighters worked with emergency services colleagues at scene to stabilise the vehicle and assisted casualties exiting the bus.
