The Ministry of Tourism has dismissed reports suggesting that the Minister, Lola Ade-John, was poisoned and rushed to the hospital.
The Assistant Director of Press in the ministry, Emem Mariam Ofiong in a statement, debunked the claim that the minister was poisoned, but confirmed that she had malaria, was treated and had been stabilized.
“It is not true that the Minister was poisoned, she only had malaria and had been treated and is now stable”, she explained.
It would be recalled that an online medium had reported that the Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, was hospitalised in the nation’s capital, Abuja, over alleged poisoning and was undergoing treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Jabi, Abuja.
According to the report, Lola Ade-John was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, shortly after she started manifesting symptoms of her poisoning.
